Browser Overview
What you find on the Browser page is Software that is(or was) the cutting edge of www Browser development and the specimens contained there will eventually be VERY good. Please understand that "will" is underlined to mean in the future. I personally believe them to be better than the release or finished versions that are available on my system. Your results will vary according to your own computer system and your expertise with it. This is not the same software you go to Egghead or Software, ect. and purchase in a slick, shrink-wrapped box. But then, the price here($0) is hard to beat. The main problem I have encountered with IE 4.0 is one of stability, but I have a program, CleanSweep 3.0, that is NOT compatible with it and MS clearly says so(if you read far enough). The Problem with Communicator that irks me the most is it's seeming inability to remember which newsgroups I subscribe to. I have not gotten it to save the list yet. They haven't fixed it as of preview 5, either. As I said at the beginning however, it may just be My Machine, you may or may not have that problem.

I do urge anyone who uses beta software to fill out "bug-reports". Bug-Reports are feedback to to manufacturer that let's them know of problems you encounter while using their program(s). The more real-world information that a programmer can get during the testing stage, the better job he/she can do on the finished product. I also urge anyone who uses beta software to respect the wishes of the authors, if it's trialware/Shareware,when it expires pay the person/company who wrote it or remove it. If it's freeware, and some of this is, enjoy! I have written a few programs, It's not nearly the fun, fishing is. It's very hard work and if the software producers aren't supported, we don't enjoy using the next version of that favorite program.
