Using the correct number for CSS


The old access number (836-0191) will soon no longer function. Those dialing the Dyersburg number direct should also only use the CSS access number (836-0467). Capacity on this line has been expanded and it is currently the only number available for Lauderdale County customers.

Some people were reporting problems getting on the new server with Windows 95. You may want to try updating your dial-up scripting with this. Right click on it then choose save target as. Save it in your C:\Programs Files\Accessories directory with the name Ecsis.Scp. Make sure you get the capital letters just right. It should ask you if you want to replace your existing file.

Windows 95

  1. Click START, PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, DIAL-UP SCRIPTING TOOL
  2. Make sure CSS is highlighted then click PROPERTIES
  3. Replace whatever is in phone number field with 836-0467
  4. Click OK
  5. Click CLOSE on the Dial-up Scripting window

Windows 3.1

  1. Disconnect from the internet if you are currently on line
  2. Double click the CSS icon in the Internet program group
  3. If it starts dialing, click CANCEL real quick
  4. Click PROPERTIES
  5. Change the phone number to 836-0467
  6. Click OK
  7. Click CONNECT

Macintosh

  1. Call up the Apple internet dialer
  2. Pull down provider
  3. Click Settings
  4. Change the phone number to 836-0467
